Job Summary
Reporting to the assigned campus leader, the Instructional Assistant is responsible for assisting with instructional tasks in a laboratory setting to assist the teaching staff. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Essential Performance Requirements*
1. Administers classroom tests to student with disabilities
2. Identifies academic needs of students and gives instructions needed to remedy deficiencies in specified discipline
3. Helps students with study skills and methods of study
4. Responds to technical needs
5. Supports and coordinates activities with faculty
6. Coordinates and schedules lab usage
7. Prepares and maintains classrooms for applicable learning activities
Service Excellence
8. Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
9. Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
10. Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision Works under the general supervision of the assigned campus leader.

Required Minimum Qualifications
11. Associate’s degree or 60 college hours with courses in the specialized field and two (2) years of work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and related experience
Preferred Qualifications
12. At least one (1) year’s working experience as an Aircraft Mechanic or Technician for those working in the Aviation Maintenance Technology Department
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
13. Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships
14. Skilled using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
15. Ability to communicate and work effectively in a collaborative environment
