*Note: this role is almost entirely remote and open to candidates based anywhere in the ROI. However, the successful candidate will be required on site in Dublin from time to time including quarterly meetings*
Approximately 70% of this role will involve Corporation Tax and VAT – candidates must have multinational experience in this area.
Job Description:
1. Manages preparation of budgets, forecasts and Long Range Scenarios
2. Primary contact for VAT and Corporate tax
3. Provides consultancy and financial decision support analysis to various functions, teams and departments
4. Actively contributes to finance business processes and resolution of issues, representing site specific topics/issues
5. Liaise with Accounting, Tax, Ops Consolidation FP&A, Site FP&A team and business functions
Responsibilities
FP&A/Accountancy
6. Manages month-end close and quarterly budget/planning activities
7. Manages accounting and tax activities, including corporate tax, VAT ,Withholding Tax, CSO filing, monthly tracking and reporting of variances
8. Implements and tracks productivity metrics to support management reporting and partner with the business to drive efficiency
9. Communicates and provides direction to Function heads about financial trends and their business implications
10. Provides support for internal and external audits
11. Adhoc duties as required
Projects
12. Provides business analysis and decision-making support, including financial analyses and modelling of “what if” scenarios
13. Leads or supports local and corporate projects, ie streamline VAT and operation processes and reporting
Basic Qualifications
14. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or Business Administration
15. At least 5 years’ experience in similar position(s) preferably in an international environment
16. Experience in cost accounting, budgeting and planning, VAT within and outside EU
17. Fluency in English, both in written and oral communication
18. High proficiency with SAP, Hyperion and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
19. Demonstrated strong technical knowledge of accountancy (local country accounting principles), relevant laws, local taxes and accounting systems/processes
Preferred Requirements
Technical Capability and Experience
20. MBA and/or CPA highly desirable
21. Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical experience preferred
22. Experience with SAP, EDW, Hyperion planning and reporting
23. Integrates disciplinary and business strategy knowledge to develop recommendations
