Job Title: Head Chef/Cook
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Head Chef/Cook to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare menus in line with allocated food budget.
* Cook and serve meals chosen by Service Users, ensuring economical use of stock and maintaining quality.
* Develop a four-weekly menu with the Head Chef, considering seasonal variations and dietary requirements.
* Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen, including regular temperature checks and equipment cleaning.
* Supervise kitchen staff, assist with training, and participate in staff reviews.
* Handle and record payments for staff meals in accordance with company policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate.
* Minimum of 2 years' manager experience in a Nursing Home environment.
* Ability to prepare a variety of menus and cater to special dietary needs.
* Strong understanding of budget management and food safety regulations.
* Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
* High standard of personal hygiene and presentation.
