We are hiring for our client, a luxurious property in Co. Kilkenny, seeking a passionate and talented Chef de Partie - Pastry to join their esteemed culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a flair for creating exquisite desserts and pastries, maintaining the highest standards in quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and create a wide variety of high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods.
* Work closely with the Head Pastry Chef to ensure consistency and excellence in all pastry offerings.
* Ensure proper preparation, presentation, and flavor balance of all pastry items.
* Manage and organize the pastry section, ensuring it operates smoothly during service.
* Assist in developing and creating new dessert menus and seasonal pastry items.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the pastry kitchen.
* Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
* Train and mentor junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a pastry-focused role, ideally in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant.
* Strong technical skills in pastry making, baking, and dessert creation.
* Creative flair and a passion for developing unique and visually appealing desserts.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
* Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
* A team player with great communication skills.
