Job Title: HR Lead - 12 Month Contract (Maternity Leave Cover)

Job Description: This is a fixed-term role for 12 months to cover a period of Maternity Leave for 30 – 40 hours per week. The role is hybrid and based in Waterford City. We are looking for an organized, self-motivated, and approachable HR Professional with 2-3 years’ experience in a similar HR role. The chosen candidate will be responsible for ensuring all elements of the employee lifecycle are handled efficiently and will manage all HR activities to develop Dataworks' culture of being a Great Place To Work.
Responsibilities/Duties:
* Delivery of professional and efficient HR administration service to the business.
* Provision of first-level advice on HR-related queries to line managers in accordance with policies and procedures.
* Adherence to all HR policies and procedures.
* Coordinate the recruitment process, including liaising with managers, applicants, and facilitating the onboarding process.
* Coordinate training and employee development courses and maintain records.
* Support HR-led projects and activities including employee relations processes as necessary.
* Issuing of all relevant HR documentation including contracts and job descriptions.
* Train and support managers on the employee lifecycle including staff meetings and performance management.
* Ensure that employee relations issues are proactively managed and resolved in a timely manner.
* Support the management team to identify training and development opportunities.
* Organize social/staff events and initiatives.
* Perform other ad-hoc duties as specified by Senior Management.
* Keep up to date on the internal procedures of the company.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Level 8 qualification in Human Resource Management or a related business course.
* Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
* Professionalism in dealing with all staff.
* Knowledge of employment law and HR practices.
* Appetite to learn quickly.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
