System Engineer and Developer (m/f/d) The regular weekly working time is that of a full-time position (currently 38.70 hours).
If the collective agreement and personal requirements are met, the position will be graded up to pay group 11 TV-L. As a central institution, Kiel University's Computer Center is responsible for the planning and operation of university-wide data communication, high-performance central computer and storage resources in various performance classes as well as central applications for research, teaching and administration.
The Application Systems department develops and operates information and communication systems as well as platforms for campus-wide use by the university's institutions and administration.
Your tasks will include: You will install and administer university applications and databases, primarily in the areas of HRM and Student Life Cycle.
You provide interfaces for the managed systems in the university's processes, you coordinate technical development and migrations to successor platforms.
You take care of technical measures in the areas of data security and data protection for the systems to be supported in cooperation with the other departments in the data center.
You provide second-level support for the specialist departments at a technical level You develop database and web applications and tools.
You organize the integrated access to existing services, develop and maintain interfaces, also in cooperation with process operators and external software houses.
You create and maintain documentation both at a technical level and for users Your profile: Completed university degree in IT, alternatively completed vocational training as an IT specialist (e.g.
