Overview of the Post
Jones Engineering is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our sustainability team as an ESG Reporting Coordinator. As an integral part of our commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, the ESG Reporting Coordinator will support the company’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) compliance efforts among other ESG reporting requirements. This role will assist in sustainability related reporting, audit preparation, and stakeholder coordination to ensure accurate and high-quality ESG disclosures.
Your Responsibilities Include:
* Assisting in the preparation, review, and submission of CSRD-compliant ESG disclosures.
* Supporting document control processes, ensuring data consistency and accuracy across sustainability statements, annual sustainability reports and other sustainability related communications.
* Helping track and align disclosures with frameworks such as ESRS, GRI, CDP and EcoVadis.
* Coordinating with external auditors to ensure smooth ESG assurance processes.
* Assisting in reviewing and organizing materials submitted as evidence for CSRD disclosures.
* Identifying and escalating gaps in data, documentation, or reporting compliance.
* Acting as a liaison between internal teams and external auditors to ensure timely data collection.
* Working closely with operational teams responsible for sustainability-related data (e.g., finance, HR, procurement), assisting in gathering and validating data submissions from various departments.
* Tracking ESG reporting deadlines and maintaining an organized reporting schedule.
* Supporting the implementation of quality control measures for sustainability disclosures.
* Working with business development teams to respond to ESG-related tender questions and ensure compliance with client sustainability requirements.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualification in a relevant field (Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Construction etc.) or equivalent industry experience.
* Minimum 2 years past experience specifically in ESG reporting, sustainability, or financial audit, ideally within a corporate environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
* Passion for sustainability and a commitment to corporate responsibility.
* Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Power BI and other data management software. Familiarity with ESG and Sustainability related software an advantage.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
* Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in managing varied tasks and responsibilities.
