OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
Cagney Contract Cleaning is seeking a highly motivated, customer-focused individual with experience in managing teams, to manage and provide support to the team of Area Managers on a day-to-day basis.
The successful candidate will manage a team of Area Managers, who are responsible for delivering consistent and high standards across multiple client facilities.
The main functions of this position are:
1. To provide support, guidance, and assistance that allows the team to successfully deliver our services, build partnerships, and create value for the customers.
2. To manage the team and ensure they are fulfilling their duties in line with the outlined expectations.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITY
Team:
1. Provide professional leadership, guidance, and direction to the team.
2. Lead a culture of reward and recognition within the team, through the development of people to minimize employee turnover.
3. Encourage appropriate attitudes and behaviors and increased employee engagement results.
4. Deal with all aspects of the recruitment process for new Area Managers.
5. Training and familiarization process for new area supervisors/managers and deliver all aspects of the initial training as required.
6. Coordinate and control the operational activities of the team.
7. Monitor the performance of the area managers on a day-to-day basis.
8. Monitor their weekly timesheets and carry out random checks to ensure terms and conditions of work are fulfilled.
9. Control the quality of paperwork and support the area supervisors/managers in this function.
10. Coordinate and schedule site audits and ensure auditing is completed in line with agreed frequencies.
11. Monitor area supervisors/managers' use of systems for urgent orders, service calls, compliments, and complaints recording.
12. Ensure effective internal communication within the team.
13. Support area managers with constructing schedules and day-to-day operational queries.
14. Complete performance reviews in line with company policies.
15. Manage performance effectively, including involvement in disciplinary procedures when required.
16. Provide cover for area supervisors/managers during planned and unplanned absences.
17. Act as Mobilisation Manager for the commencement of small and medium new contracts.
18. Provide the doc division manager with the monthly report of activity and progress.
Clients:
1. Build and maintain excellent working relationships with selected clients.
2. Ensure that clients' queries are dealt with effectively and promptly.
3. Ensure that cleaning specifications and excellent cleaning standards are delivered across all sites.
4. Carry out random site visits to ensure contracts are operating in line with specifications and within budget frames.
5. Assist on selected clients' site audits and meetings when required.
6. Assist with completion of monthly reports, KPIs, and SLAs.
7. Participate in QBRs with designated clients.
8. Act as a first point of escalation after Area Managers and take responsibility for managing issues until satisfactory outcomes are achieved.
9. Identify areas of improvement and drive the changes when required.
10. Identify new business opportunities.
Internal:
Work closely with all departments within the company to support the needs of the Area Managers with their day-to-day running of business and maintain communication to ensure rapid response times to problems and issues which may arise.
Health & Safety:
1. Oversee health and safety on sites and work closely with the H&S Manager to ensure full compliance with both our internal and client HS requirements.
2. Promote H&S culture across the staff on sites.
3. Provide detailed and accurate information regarding ad hoc project works, additional requirements, quotations, etc.
4. Support the business development team on new business generation and increased service density.
5. Assist with any financial/sales queries on the existing portfolio (including credit notes).
6. Provide input to pricing reviews on clients' contracts, including negotiations regarding scope increases and decreases.
HR Department:
Assist HR Department with TUPE process when required. Provide accurate information regarding any HR-related issues to support HR.
Training:
* Identify training needs and coordinate ongoing training with the Training Manager.
Payroll and Finance:
1. Assist Finance and Credit Control team in securing POs, chasing outstanding invoices, etc.
2. Work closely with the Payroll Department to ensure the fortnightly payroll process runs smoothly.
3. Closely oversee the biweekly wages to identify and rectify any errors before submitting them to payroll.
4. Act as an escalation point for any payroll-related queries/issues/corrections and address them as required.

9. Excellent problem-solving skills.
10. Excellent PC skills (proficient user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Key requirements:
* Min. 2 years' experience in the service industry or contract cleaning industry.
* Min. 2 years' experience in managing teams.
* Eligibility to work in Ireland on a full-time basis and flexibility is essential.

2. Probation Period: Initial probation period of 6 months. Performance will be continually reviewed.
