Motor Distributors Limited, the exclusive importer and distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Ireland wishes to recruit a National Sales Manager, based at our Headquarters in Dublin 12.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, proactive professional who will be responsible for the development of our Sales Strategy. A unique opportunity to join Mercedes-Benz Passenger cars as it embarks upon the biggest product offensive in the brand's history. The successful candidate will form an important part of our new team as we continue to strengthen our market position.
Key duties & Responsibilities:
1. Create the environment to realise the full potential for Mercedes-Benz PC sales in our market.
2. Operational and strategic management of Mercedes-Benz growth strategy across all sales channels.
3. Agree progressive annual sales targets with management and with the dealer network.
4. Manage harmonious relationships with Mercedes-Benz, agree a two-year rolling business plan/targets.
5. Travel to manufacturer events, and motors shows as required.
6. Stock management of new vehicles, ensuring the optimum stock levels aligned with industry seasonality.
7. Nurturing a “Customer first” culture, exceeding expectations at every touchpoint of the customer journey.
8. Implementing our Mercedes-Benz brand sales strategies, policies and procedures, have a forward-thinking approach.
9. Develop a high performance, collaborative culture, delivering excellent operational performance.
10. Ensure new vehicle launches are optimised and supported with smart integrated strategies and activities.
11. Analyse market and franchise data to develop a growth plan and identify areas of opportunity.
12. Work with our marketing team to develop brand, product and Mercedes-Benz leading technology awareness.
13. Proficient in new vehicle order management system, product knowledge, model mix and specifications.
14. Monitor department performance against internal and Manufacturer KPI’s, targets and budgets.
15. Introduce a high performing corporate sales culture in line with our ambitious growth plans.
16. Ensure all local market objectives / KPIs are owned and delivered by the sales team.
17. Lead, coach, and mentor the sales teams on an ongoing basis.
18. Develop the dealer network, organise national dealer meetings and business events.
19. Manage the interface with the public, the dealer network, the factory, and the management teams.
20. Represent and champion the Mercedes-Benz brand in our market, attend industry functions.
21. Liaise with internal departments within MDL, thereby fostering harmonious relationships.
