Responsibilities of the Accountant Job include:
As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing a portfolio of structured finance transactions. You will be entrusted with establishing and maintaining financial books and records, ensuring all obligations are met, preparing audit files, liaising with tax advisors, among other responsibilities. Your exceptional communication skills will be put to good use as you interact directly with various service providers involved in the transactions.
* Establish and maintain the financial books and records for a portfolio of securitisation transactions and aircraft entities
* Ensure all obligations under transaction documents are fulfilled
* Monitor obligations of all parties under transaction documents on an ongoing basis
* Prepare audit files for submission to auditors and deal with any queries that may arise during the course of the audit
* Prepare statutory financial statements
* Complete VAT and PAYE/PRSI returns where necessary for client entities
* Deal with tax advisors in relation to annual tax return (CT1) and other required tax returns
* Assist with completion and filing of FVC returns for relevant entities
Requirements of the Accountant:
As an Accountant, you bring valuable experience from the aircraft leasing and structured finance industry. Your expertise in preparing management accounts, dealing with auditor queries, understanding accounting standards, along with your strong IT skills will be instrumental for this role. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to build robust relationships with clients and professional advisors. Your flexibility, willingness to adapt, and desire to take on extra responsibilities will make you an invaluable addition to our team.
* Part-qualified or recently ACCA Qualified Accountant with drive and experience to gain respect and trust of clients and counterparties
* Experience in aircraft leasing and structured finance industry from a transaction management perspective
* Experience in preparation of management accounts, related annual statutory financial statements, and dealing with auditor queries
* Willingness to adapt, flexible approach, desire to take on extra responsibility and workload
* Excellent communication skills for maintaining close relationships with clients and professional advisors involved in transactions
* Knowledge and understanding of relevant accounting standards
* Strong IT skills including Excel and Word
