The company has recently invested in a new ERP system, providing modern tools to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency. This position is based in Roscommon Town and is a standalone role.
Your New Job:
You will be responsible for overseeing procurement operations, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining inventory levels. This permanent role suits a candidate with experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, who is ready to play a pivotal role in the organisation's operational success.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage the procurement and supply of goods and services required for the company’s operations.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating improved terms and pricing.
* Conduct market research to monitor price changes and supplier trends.
* Oversee and resolve supplier-related issues, including quality, supply, and performance.
* Collaborate with internal teams, particularly production, to confirm weekly schedules and align procurement activities.
* Place and track purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods in line with agreed specifications and prices.
* Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and implement strategies to prevent overstocking while maximising cost savings.
* Analyse and improve internal purchasing processes to enhance efficiency.
* Leverage the new ERP system to optimise procurement operations and reporting.
* Stay informed on technological advancements and their implications for procurement.
