Overview In this new role, reporting to the Software Development Team Lead, the Production Support Engineer will join the existing ultra-low latency software development team and provide technical and production support for all trading, operational and support systems within the team.
This is a very demanding and highly technical role which requires the successful candidate to display strong technical skills and application knowledge in making critical support decisions while working under pressure.
The role will also require the successful candidate to manage complex project work for new or existing support systems, monitoring systems, support tools and/or deployment of new software trading systems.
Core ResponsibilitiesContinuous evaluation and improvement of trading support procedures, development and implementation of required/agreed tools and associated runtime environmentsProduction deploymentsWorking with the development team to improve the supportability and robustness of the production runtime environment.
Understanding the production runtime environment and working with other support teams to undertake changes and upgrades.
System Monitoring – monitoring of trading systems and alerts through existing monitoring systems, constant re-evaluation of current systems to establish scope for improvement/growthInteract with various internal IT support functions to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems as they happenWhat we're looking forBSc.
