Job Description:
The EMEA Financial Controller will oversee all financial aspects of local business operations in Ireland, driving financial reporting, planning, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive the monthly financial close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
* Assess and enhance financial processes related to reporting and payments to vendors.
* Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Set targets for and supervise accounting personnel (management accountants, internal auditors, etc.).
* Oversee all audit and internal control operations.
* Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
* Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment and reporting.
* Oversee all aspects of accounts payable and payroll functions.
* Conduct financial analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives.
Requirements:
* Qualified Accountant with 8+ years PQE.
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
* In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles and financial analysis/forecasting.
* An analytical mind with strategic ability and excellent organizational skills.
* Experience working in a multinational environment.
* Experience setting up a finance function would be a plus but not essential.
