Chief Executive Officer

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic leadership by collaborating with the Board of Directors and staff to establish, implement, and oversee the charity's goals, strategies, plans, and policies.
* Lead the development and execution of Mens Aid's strategic objectives, ensuring alignment with the organization's vision and mission.
* Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of Mens Aid, maintaining the highest standards of service delivery and operations.
Specific Areas of Responsibility:
Operations, Governance, Risk, and Policies
* Develop and implement corporate and charity governance practices to ensure Mens Aid adheres to the highest standards of governance and full compliance with CRA codes and requirements.
* Oversee and ensure the Mens Aid website is regularly updated, accurately reflecting the Board of Directors and committee activities.
* Lead the creation, maintenance, and oversight of the Charity's risk register, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory bodies.
Employees/Workforce Management
* Foster and maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive work environment for all employees, promoting employee well-being and engagement.
* Implement effective leadership strategies to ensure operational efficiency, with clear organizational systems, processes, and practices that align with Mens Aid's goals.
* Monitor, evaluate, and manage employee performance, effectiveness, and efficiency through structured performance management systems.
Board Support and Business Planning
* Provide timely and accurate advice to the Chair and Board members on relevant matters to ensure informed decision-making.
* Attend all Board of Directors and committee meetings, present updates on all appropriate matters, and ensure that decisions made by the Board and committees are implemented effectively.
ICT, Procurement, and Contracts
* Provide strategic direction for the maintenance and development of all IT systems, electronic data management, and associated hardware and software, ensuring alignment with Mens Aid's operational needs.
* Oversee all service and maintenance contracts, ensuring that these contracts are monitored and renewed as necessary.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* Third-level qualification in Management, Business Studies, or a related field.
* At least 5 years of experience working in a senior management role.
* Proven experience in employee management, team leadership, and the successful implementation of strategic initiatives.
Skills and Knowledge:
* Professional knowledge and skills to effectively undertake the responsibilities of the role.
* People management skills, demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
* Leadership abilities to guide and inspire teams and stakeholders.
Other Essential Requirements:
* Full clean driving license and access to a car.
* A strong understanding of legislation impacting Mens Aid.
* Familiarity with recent studies, reviews, and reports specific to domestic abuse.
Salary, Benefits, and Location:
1. Salary: €65,000 - €75,000 per annum, depending on experience (DOE).
2. Annual leave: 20 days per year.
3. Hybrid working: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
4. Hours: 35 hours per week.
5. Free parking: available on-site.
6. Location: St Annes Resource Centre CLG, Railway Street, Navan, Co. Meath.
