We Are Looking For..
We are looking for a Health and Safety Engineer to ensure that the highest standards Health, Safety and Environmental Health and Safety are maintained throughout our sites.
What you'll do
1. Lead all aspects of West Cork Distillers Safety Program to:
2. Develop and implement EHS policies and strategies to ensure the safety of all persons on site, assist in the protection of the environment and ensure ongoing legal compliance.
3. Drive site wide compliance to established EHS practices and procedures.
4. Ensure site policies and procedures comply with COMAH/Seveso Regulations and liaise with the Health and Safety Authority as required.
5. Carry out safety inspections and produce relevant safety risk assessments.
6. Drive accident/incident investigations and ensure any corrective actions are implemented without delay.
7. Identify new and ongoing safety related training requirements, ensuring all mandatory training is delivered in a timely fashion and employee training status is maintained.
8. Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and COMAH legislation and any developments that affect West Cork Distillers industry.
9. Regularly review and update the company's safety statement.
10. Lead the company's IPC Licence compliance by identifying and implementing 'best in class' environmental practices.
