My Client is looking to expand their team and are currently looking for an experienced Bookkeeper. If you are an experienced Bookkeeper, with knowledge of a computerised accounting package e.g. Relate, Surf, Xero, this is an exciting opportunity to join a reputable firm.
Key responsibilities:
1. The posting of bank transactions and completion of bank reconciliations using a computerised accounting package.
2. Maintenance of the clients purchase ledger – posting of supplier invoices to the client's system and reconciling same to supplier statements.
3. Posting monthly sales to the client's system.
4. Reconciliation of monthly cash-book on computerised system, the posting of cash payments etc.
5. Filing of VAT returns.
6. Preparation of Payroll using a computerised payroll package.
7. Reconciliation of the VAT & PAYE/PRSI liabilities per the accounting system to revenue returns.
Key skills:
1. Ability to work on own initiative.
2. High attention to detail.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
4. A knowledge of debits & credits and the ability to post journals.
5. Have own transport. The role is primarily based in Blackrock but there will be some travelling to venues around the city/suburbs to visit client sites.
