We have an opportunity within the Strategic Finance Team for a commercially focused Accountant to continue to support the next phase in the development of the Centra (Next Generation) value proposition. This role is pivotal to understanding our current value offering and answering key strategic questions on the Centra brand; the work will determine overall how competitive the brand needs to be and what that means for our overall profitability.
The role responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:
1. Working closely with trading and the commercial brand analyst to understand RSP insights to determine the right future price policy for Centra.
2. Devising what future pricing will be anchored off.
3. Outlining the correct pricing application per format.
4. Outlining the correct pricing application for own brand and branded ranges.
5. Determining the role of each category and the correct value lever to deploy.
6. The ability to build and model the impact of RSP adjustments on store formats and categories.
7. Determining the right amount of price files for the brand and the purpose for each of these.
8. Project Management skills to ensure all stakeholders are managed and critical deadlines delivered.
9. Form strong working relationships with various stakeholders in Centra Next Generation project.
10. Develop & deliver a method to monitor price governance going forward.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
1. Be a qualified accountant with a minimum of 4 years work experience in the FMCG / Retail sector.
2. A general business qualification would be an advantage.
3. The ideal candidate will be highly numeric & analytical.
4. A strong systems orientation including advanced excel skills, Pyramid and Power BI skills.
5. Good communication & inter-personal skills.
6. Be interested in working in a fast-paced commercial role.
7. Previous experience working within the FMCG/Retail industry will be of distinct advantage.
This is a 12 month contract.

Musgrave operates a Work Smart hybrid working model where you can alternate your time between connecting and collaborating in the business and working remotely. Occasional business travel to other locations will also be required.
