Quality Engineer, Graduate Programme
This role is part of the Quality Operations Engineering Development program that provides quality engineering and leadership development across several areas of Stryker’s business. Quality Engineers in this role will have on-site functional rotations between the Quality Operations, Quality Management, and New Product Introduction teams, gaining highly valuable experience in key areas of Medical Device Manufacturing Business.
The program is 23 months in duration and begins in September of each year. Core training opportunities in both hard engineering and soft personal skills, for example, validation activities in regulated industry, design transfer requirements, GD&T, additive manufacturing, six-sigma greenbelt, presentation skills, finance, and global interactions are integrated into the program. Exposure to Senior Leadership within Stryker and networking opportunities including global interactions across the business are a fundamental part of the program.

As a program participant, graduates will be placed in one of the following teams:
Quality Engineering
Provide quality engineering support in quality assurance, control, and preventative activities with a focus on continuous improvement of internal products and processes. Support supplier quality issues impacting daily operations. Advocate and lead the execution of initiatives and projects to enhance quality performance within the business and for our customers. Ensure compliance with regulation and standards.
New Product Introduction Engineering
New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineers play a critical role in Stryker, providing an interface between Advanced Operations activities and manufacturing, translating design requirements into manufacturing and process requirements. They lead design for manufacture and assembly through technical leadership and direction in quality assurance, quality control, and preventative activities. They support the development and introduction of new products, processes, and technologies, with a focus on quality systems development, regulatory compliance, and process risk management including pFMEA. They develop and characterize processes that are capable, scalable, and produce high yield. They support the design of robust inspection strategies including CQA’s, CTQ’s, and MSA’s. Finally, they provide quality engineering support for the execution of quality assurance activities during design transfer phases of new product development.
Quality Management Systems
The function of the Quality Management System Engineer is to provide subject matter expertise and support to the Quality Operations functions within the relevant manufacturing site while continuing to optimize the operation of the quality management system to ensure compliance in the most efficient and effective manner.
What you need:
1. Upcoming or recent Graduate (Previous 2 Years) in B. Sc / B. Eng. in a science, engineering or related discipline
2. 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA (or equivalent)
3. Eligibility to work in the respective country
4. Ability to travel within Ireland
5. Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem-solving skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
6. The individual should enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and results-oriented team environment.
7. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively work cross-functionally and externally as required.
8. Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, product, and process design.
9. Basic knowledge of the elements of a Quality Management System and the relevant ISO standards.
10. Being able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and have the ability to understand geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing is an advantage.
11. Experience in an FDA regulated or regulated industry is beneficial.
12. High level of PC Skills required.
13. Excellent attention to detail.
