Description
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Foreman to join our dynamic team for projects in Dublin & Limerick. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled leader to bring their expertise to some of the most ambitious projects in Ireland today.
You will play a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day operations on our civil engineering projects, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest quality, on time, and within budget. You will lead and motivate a team on-site, coordinating activities and liaising with project managers, engineers, and clients to achieve project goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and supervise on-site teams, including tradespeople and subcontractors, ensuring work is carried out safely and to specifications.
2. Coordinate daily activities, liaising with project managers, engineers, and planners to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
3. Monitor work quality and compliance with project requirements, standards, and regulations.
4. Enforce health and safety guidelines, conduct risk assessments, and ensure a safe working environment.
5. Order and allocate materials, tools, and equipment as needed, and monitor usage.
6. Identify and address any site issues swiftly to minimise delays or disruptions.
Requirements
1. Proven experience as a Foreperson on civil engineering projects, preferably within Ireland or the UK.
2. Strong understanding of civil engineering construction methods and materials.
3. In-depth knowledge of Irish health and safety regulations.
4. Excellent leadership and communication skills with a collaborative approach to team management.
5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
6. Full Irish driver’s license.
