About the Role
Reporting directly to a Partner, the Assistant Manager will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality services to our clients. This role offers excellent opportunities for career progression within the firm.
Main Responsibilities
* Managing and overseeing audit and accounting assignments, ensuring they are completed efficiently and effectively.
* Planning and executing audit fieldwork, including risk assessment, testing, and documentation.
* Preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS, Irish GAAP).
* Managing budgets and deadlines for client engagements.
* Supervising and mentoring junior staff members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
* Identifying and addressing client needs and providing proactive solutions.
* Keeping up-to-date with current accounting and auditing regulations and standards.
Requirements
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an Irish accountancy practice is mandatory. Applications without this experience will not be considered.
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
* Strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
* Experience in planning and executing audits.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
* Proficiency in relevant accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks).
* A proactive and client-focused approach.
