Job Description
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop electrical components for medical devices.
* Apply circuit and electrical system test methods.
* Assist with prototyping and bench testing.
* Solve problems, identify potential solutions, and evaluate them against requirements under supervision.
* Conduct research and studies to support product design under supervision.
Business Requirements
* Interpret customer needs and understand design inputs.
* Understand the product's intended use and clinical procedures.
Med Device Compliance
* Understand fundamental industry standards, design requirements, and test strategies that align with regulatory requirements.
* Create or refine engineering documentation, such as the Design History file per company design control procedures, under supervision.
* Learn R&D procedures like design controls and risk management per the Quality Management System.
General Responsibilities
* Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management teams to ensure project success and contribute to the project as a team member.
* Learn procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology required.
* Work on problems in limited scope and purposefully learn while gaining experience.
* Demonstrate ownership and integrity of work.
* Build stable relationships.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in EE or related discipline with 0+ years of work experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Basic knowledge of electrical components and manufacturing methods.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
* Understanding of the electrical design process.
* Knowledge of design and concept generation CAD, CAE, or simulation tools.
* Knowledge of analysis tools and statistical methods.
* Knowledge of system components and associated requirements.
