We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven Head of Business Development to lead our growth initiatives and expand our reach.
Job Purpose The Head of Business Development is responsible for driving the growth of Cenit College in Ireland, with a long-term vision for expansion into European markets.
This role involves contributing to and executing Cenit's growth strategy while building and strengthening partnerships with commissioners and business customers.
The Head of Business Development will play a pivotal role in achieving the company's strategic objectives and enhancing its market presence.
Key Responsibilities Understand the key government commissioners in the further and higher education sector in Ireland.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with government funded organisations, and other key stakeholders.
Develop and manage B2B commercial opportunities.
Lead Cenit's stakeholder engagement for growth opportunities.
Contribute to the bid strategies and bid responses for new government and B2B business.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure mutually beneficial collaborations with third parties where necessary.
Produce high quality reports for Board and Group Executive Board Meetings.
Work with the Group Marketing team to shape effective marketing strategies which support Cenit Ireland growth objectives.
Contribute to the Cenit Senior Team.
Work flexibly to meet the business needs, including any necessary travel and overnight stays.
Be accountable for own professional development and undertake the necessary training as identified in the Performance Review process.
Handle personal data in accordance with the company's data protection policy.
Adhere to the company's policies and procedures always, including Safeguarding, Equal Opportunities, Quality, Health and Safety and IT.
Undertake any other duties, as required, appropriate to the post.
Qualifications & Experience Third level qualification in Business, Marketing or related discipline.
Senior experience in private and public sector organisations is desirable.
Demonstrable experience of developing long-term, senior level relationships with external organisations.
Senior experience of working in the FET sector in Ireland including interacting with Solas, the ETB's or Skillnet.
A track record of success as a business driver with strong financial and commercial acumen.
Comfortable networking and public speaking including delivering business presentations.
Full clean Driving Licence required.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook with good experience of using CMS, Learner Management Systems and Management Information tools.
Behaviours & Capabilities Excellent people skills with the ability to interact comfortably at all levels of an organisation.
Skilled at building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and partners.
Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects adhering to deadlines.

Willingness to travel across Ireland and in time to Europe for meetings.
