About the Role:
As a Manager of DevOps Engineering, you will lead a team to combine software and systems engineering to build and run robust, fault-tolerant, distributed systems to operate at scale. This pivotal role requires transformational leadership qualities to create a vision for DevOps and drive the "Automation and AI" first culture.
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in our Kilkenny office and 2 days a week working from home.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the DevOps team and be responsible for maintaining reliability, performance, availability, and scalability.
* Drive change across the company, working towards a standard methodology based around DevOps and Solid System Engineering practices.
* Lead the team in driving further adoption of DevOps practices.
* Build teams through hiring and people growth while balancing ownership workload through delegation.
* Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, advocating for their adoption where appropriate to drive innovation and productivity enhancement within the team.
* Collaborate cross-organization to complete successful delivery with broader functions, including Security, Architecture, Operations, and Product Managers.
* Guide and encourage personal and technical development, engagement, and growth of direct reports.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
* 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, and Cloud Infrastructure engineering/Operations, with at least 2+ years of management experience.
* Experience and knowledge of Public Cloud Infrastructure like AWS, Google Cloud, Containerization, and microservices architecture.
* Experience with Observability and incident management tools like Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, and PagerDuty.
* Experience in running CI/CD pipelines infrastructure as Code (Terraform), GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
