Field Service Chemical Engineer
Cpl are partnering with a global leader in the provision of Ultra-Pure Water services to a range of blue-chip, high-profile manufacturing companies across Ireland.
The client range includes Biopharma, Biologics, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Food and Beverage Manufacturing as well as the national hospital laboratory networks and several well-known heritage Irish companies where Ultra-Pure Water is used in their processes.
As a result of continued business growth, the company are now seeking to hire a Chemical Engineer who is interested in moving into a Field Service role or alternatively if you are currently working as a Field Service engineer and you are a Chemical Engineer by profession.
This will be an exciting opportunity for you as a Chemical Engineer to work as part of a team of engineers with your own portfolio of premium clients. Your territory will primarily be Dublin and the wider Leinster region.
Reporting to the Service Operations Manager for Ireland, your primary key accountabilities and responsibilities will include the following:
1. Provide an excellent level of service to your customers with a particular focus on “Chemical Treatment Analysis” as well as monitoring the other elements of the service contact.
2. Carry out standard maintenance of chemical dosing systems, programming the dosing controllers, and carry out associated fault finding and troubleshooting of faulty or defective chemical dosing systems.
3. Support the Project Management and Design teams on new client requests for the design, build, install, and commissioning of new chemical dosing systems.
4. Initiate the site water treatment programmes for both existing and new accounts as well as commission new chemical dosing and control systems installations.
5. Work closely with your colleagues in the Sales and after Sales Support team to identify opportunities for business growth and acquire new opportunities.
6. Lead the after sales and service support contract with your clients and provide customers with feedback and market info on new products and service offerings.
7. Represent the company at trade shows and exhibitions to showcase the current and future product offerings.
8. Support the sales strategy for your territory and participate in commercial tender processes and reviews.
9. Be the key driver of the client partnership and customer relationship management.
10. Focus on expanding your professional network, advising the customer on best practice recommendations, and providing your customers with updates and feedback on future new product development as well as product features and functions.
11. Lead the best-in-class after sales service and technical support.
12. Provide training and mentoring on Legionella Controls to ensure your customer’s site are fully compliant with ACOP L8 where relevant and appropriate.
13. Ownership for your customer sites water services risk assessment.
14. Follow up on these RA and prepare method statements and all associated reports.
15. Maintain and update all the site service logbooks / digital records etc.
Additional Information & Requirements
This role is a field service role that requires the Field Service Engineer to work unsupervised on customer sites primarily in Leinster, Kildare/Dublin etc.
The Field Service Engineer must demonstrate a good understanding and appreciation for the requirements of delivering excellent customer service and ensuring that work is always completed in a professional and competent manner.

You also need to be an experienced driver and holder of a driving licence.
