Job Title: Assistant Community Centre Attendant
Overall Purpose of the Job:
The Assistant Community Centre Attendant will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including security, supervision, reception duties, maintenance, grounds maintenance, administration, communications, documentation, and evacuation procedures.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure the premises are secured and monitored efficiently.
* Liaise with other staff members in the efficient management of the facility.
* Answer the telephone and maintain accurate records of incoming calls.
* Be polite and friendly to all customers and callers.
* Keep leaflets and flyers up to date at reception.
* Carry out regular checks on BMS equipment and notify the Manager of any issues.
* Liaise with the school Caretaker to develop a grounds maintenance program.
* Prepare invoices for user groups and maintain accurate records.
* Deal with people in a courteous and diplomatic manner.
* Communicate and relay information accurately.
* Document incidents, accidents, and grievances.
* Participate in fire evacuation drills and ensure calm is maintained during emergencies.
* Attend training courses and carry out additional duties as assigned.
