RecruitmentPlus are delighted to be partnering with a successful Co. Louth organisation who are making waves in the automation market. Due to growth they are seeking a Senior Mechatronic Engineer to join their Design team where you will develop innovative robotic and automation solutions for their clients who span multiple industries, such as manufacturing, utilities, life sciences and environmental data delivery collection.
You will work with highly experienced engineers and professionals across their internal Automation, Electrical and Mechanical Design, Robotic and Software departments to offer a complete solutions service from Factory floor to Cloud.
To be successful you should have solid previous experience within a similar engineering design role with responsibility for leading teams of design engineers, delegating tasks, design sign-off, installation and commissioning and have the desire to work and grow with a company with the vision of developing the automated machinery, control panels and solutions of the future.
Requirements:
1. Hold a Degree in Mechatronic or Mechanical Engineering level 8+ or similar discipline to level.
2. 5+ years experience in machine design with responsibility for team management, design sign-off, installation and commissioning.
3. Experience in the use of SolidWorks is required, Autodesk Inventor or equivalent package considered.
4. Project Management and/or experience in the development of automated equipment is an advantage.
5. Full Driver‘s License is required.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Have responsibility for design and development of automated equipment to meet customer requirements, owning design elements from concept to project delivery.
2. 3D and 2D design and detailing (using Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks and Emulate 3D).
3. Lead teams, coach junior engineers and work collaboratively.
4. Component selection and specification, engineering calculations, design analysis and optimization and project documentation. Risk assessments and FMEAs.
5. 3D Design of Mechatronic equipment including Mechanism; transfer systems, servo systems, robotics, pneumatics, electrical equipment and machine guarding.
6. Ensure project requirements are agreed, reviewed and understood with the customer and internal team.
7. Plan and prioritise work across multiple projects ensuring completion. Collaborate with project teams, sharing knowledge and problem solving.
8. Input on continuous improvement across the department and business.
9. You must be a self starter with a good attention to detail, willing to take ownership and responsibility to realise project milestones.
