We're looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team in Limerick, where you'll help shape the future of medical diagnostics through advanced software development.
About the Role In this role, you'll be part of an Agile team focused on developing a state-of-the-art medical device middleware platform .
This platform is designed to interface with multiple diagnostic devices and hospital information systems, supporting better decision-making and patient outcomes in healthcare settings.
You'll work across the full technology stack, with a particular emphasis on C#, ASP.NET Core, and Angular, contributing to both backend services and front-end applications.
This is a hands-on development role where your technical expertise, creativity, and collaboration skills will shine.
What You'll Do Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to define project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
Lead by example with clean, maintainable code, while supporting and mentoring team members.
Solve complex problems and troubleshoot issues to support the platform's reliability and performance.
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture, API specs, and deployment guides.
Stay current with new technologies and best practices, and bring innovative ideas to the table.
Collaborate across global teams, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
What You Bring 5-7+ years' experience in software development using C# and the .NET Framework .
Proven experience with Angular and JavaScript frameworks.
Strong skills in Entity Framework, T-SQL, XML querying, and Microsoft SQL Server .
Solid experience with TypeScript, RxJS, HTML, LESS/CSS, Node.js, .NET Core .
A track record of writing robust unit and integration tests ; TDD experience is a plus.
Familiarity with version control systems like Azure DevOps and Git .
Understanding of SOA and RESTful API design and implementation.
Ability to manage and support deployments across different environments and geographic locations.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Experience with Agile methodologies, especially SAFe, is a bonus.
