Job Description
Responsible for overseeing mechanical maintenance operations to maximise plant efficiency and ensure a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Procure spare parts and services to maintain long-term asset availability in accordance with established procedures.
* Develop and track comprehensive maintenance plans for mechanical equipment to prevent breakdowns and reduce downtime.
* Lead and mentor a team of skilled Maintenance Technicians, fostering collaborative relationships with other departments.
* Achieve set maintenance targets within defined safety, economic, and environmental parameters.
* Identify and resolve faults efficiently, providing innovative solutions to complex problems.
* Support the implementation of business management systems and contribute to broader plant management initiatives.
* Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including owners, legal authorities, suppliers, contractors, and external parties.
Requirements:
* BEng, BSc, or equivalent Level 8 qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in power plants or heavy industries (coal, mining, material handling).
* Strong IT skills and proficiency with maintenance management systems, including preventive maintenance planning and reporting.
* Proven leadership abilities at middle management level, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
