Job Title: Order Picker/Warehouse Operative
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team in a busy warehouse/distribution centre.
About the Role:
* Pick orders from paper dockets and/or handheld systems.
* Sort and distribute goods efficiently.
* Provide excellent customer service by resolving problems and accepting product returns.
Key Responsibilities:
* Organise and pack products for delivery.
* Gather and organise paperwork for deliveries.
* Load products/packages into vans for delivery to customers' sites.
* Assist with inbound and outbound duties as needed.
* Utilise manual handling equipment.
* Routine planning and optimisation.
* Accept returns from customers, complete paperwork, and return to warehouse.
* Address and resolve customer problems.
* Maintain cleanliness of work area & warehouse.
* Sorting and arranging stock in bin locations in warehouse.
* Picking and packing orders for despatch.
* Creating courier manifests.
* Stock control and reordering.
* Familiarity with safety procedures.
Requirements:
* Good communication skills (verbal and written).
* Ability to apply common sense to instructions given.
* Excellent customer service skills.
Experience:
At least 1 year's relevant work experience. Specific order picking experience is an advantage.
The roles are based within walking distance of the Train Station in Little Island.
Work hours: Monday to Friday, daytime hours.
Start on agency contract with a view to permanent position.
