The Production Supervisor will have responsibility for managing the day-to-day running of the shift, ensuring the safe and efficient production of products.
They will ensure that production and quality targets are consistently met, and that people are managed and trained effectively to carry out their duties.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Lead and motivate production operators and team leaders.
2. Aim to optimise the production performance of your department – the in-house targets on efficiency are the continuous goal and you must be able to explain when/if these are not met why.
3. Ensure manufacturing-volume requirements are met.
4. Responsible for the stock take in your department on a monthly basis. You must gather a team to conduct this stock take and ensure it is done fully and accurately.
5. Effectively manage employee performance.
6. Lead problem-solving initiatives within production.
7. Support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports the Quality Policy, Quality System, and the appropriate regulations for the area they support.
8. Responsible for the identification, segregation, and traceability of quality assured product.
9. Evaluate task training of staff and organise re-training where required.
10. Ensure quality checks are carried out correctly and at the time required.
11. Ensure product traceability always remains intact.
12. Ensure that Bord Bia MPQAS and Non Bord Bia MPQAS product is handled as per procedure.
13. Ensure Allergen production procedures are followed correctly.
14. Ensure that Cross Species production procedures are followed correctly.
Requirements:
* 2/3 years' experience in a supervisory capacity in a manufacturing environment.
* Previous experience of demonstrating ability in people motivation, organising and team building would be a distinct advantage.
* Metrics and Continuous improvement experience.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills with proven ability to deliver results in cross-function team-based environment.
