About the Role
The Electrical Tendering Engineer is responsible for preparing and submitting competitive bids for engineering projects. This involves electrical transformer design, specification, and materials analysis, with close coordination across teams to develop cost-effective solutions that meet client requirements and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Tender & Quotation Preparation: Review technical requirements, coordinate with teams, and prepare documents, calculations, and cost estimates.
* Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory standards.
* Cost Estimation: Develop cost estimates for materials, labour, and subcontracting; assess financial feasibility and identify risks.
* Coordination & Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather information and clarify requirements.
* Documentation & Submission: Ensure accurate, competitive, and on-time tender submissions, maintaining organised records.
* Technical Support: Provide support during evaluation and negotiation, assisting with post-tender clarifications.
* Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analyse past tenders to improve future strategies.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
* 3+ years in a similar role, preferably in engineering or design engineering.
* Knowledge of electrical distribution, proficiency in tendering software, and project management tools.
* Analytical with strong attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CCP) are an advantage.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with SAP or Oracle is beneficial.
