The Company and Role:
Our client is the leading supplier of building accessories to the Construction, Civil and Precast Concrete Industries in Ireland. Based in Co Kildare, they are a leading supplier of building site solutions for Residential, Non-residential building construction, Pre-cast Industry, Civil Engineering, Transport and Infrastructure building projects.
They are now seeking to hire an External Sales Representative to join the team on a permanent full-time basis with an immediate start date. This is a unique opportunity with an excellent opportunity for career development. The successful candidate will be responsible for prospecting and developing existing accounts, growing sales and developing relationships at various levels to ensure a positive customer service experience.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Get the sale using various customer sales methods (door-to-door, cold calling, presentations etc.)
2. Forecast sales, develop out of the box sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness
3. Evaluate customers' skills, needs and build productive long-lasting relationships
4. Meet personal and team sales targets
5. Manage and maintain existing customers
6. Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads
7. Attend meetings, sales events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments
8. Report and provide feedback to management using financial statistical data
9. Maintain and expand client database
10. Have a successful sales background – able to achieve KPI’s and targets
11. Develop opportunities by researching and identifying potential and existing accounts
12. Develop relationships at various levels and ensure a positive customer service experience
13. Maintain a high knowledge level of the company's services
14. Price and quote customers
15. Provide customers with technical information on our product range
16. Update weekly call sheets
Essential Criteria:
1. Min 2 years Direct, B2B sales or customer success experience required, preferably selling into businesses
2. Proficient in MS Office
3. Experience in negotiating and closing sales
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
5. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
6. Good communication and teamwork skills
7. Networking experience
8. Knowledge, ability, and initiative to solve fundamental problems and make routine decisions in various situations
9. Good organisational and prioritising skills to complete tasks on time
10. Leadership skills
