Responsibilities:
* Perform machine building and mechanical assembly of precision equipment according to technical specifications.
* Interpret technical assembly drawings and equipment manuals to ensure accurate assembly.
* Conduct dismantling, repair, rework, and fitting of new parts when performing maintenance.
* Installation of production equipment.
* Utilise modern maintenance techniques for condition monitoring of equipment.
* Write detailed reports on completed repairs for documentation and analysis.
* Commission machines/equipment at customer sites from time to time (Ireland and abroad).
Requirements:
* Previous experience with AlphaCAM 3D and Hurco CNC Machining Centres advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Great communication skills: Working closely with the assembly supervisor and the project team.
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues effectively.
* Working knowledge and skills in assembly and repairs of mechanical systems such as bearings, gears, belts & pulleys, etc.
* Experience in pneumatics is preferred.
* Proficiency with workshop machines such as lathes, manual milling machines, surface grinders, etc.
* Preferably qualified as a mechanic, toolmaker, or fitter.
* Attention to detail is crucial for ensuring accuracy and precision in work.
* A passion/strong interest in engineering is essential.
