Rocketsuite is delighted to be partnering with a local family business in Co Kilkenny who have an internationally recognised food production brand in their search for a Financial Controller.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Financial Controller will ensure the financial health and sustainability of the business, provide strategic insights for decision-making, and drive the company's long-term growth objectives.
This role is integral to the organisation's success and requires a visionary leader who can navigate complex financial landscapes while driving innovation and growth.
The role: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organisation's goals.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO, and Board of Directors to support strategic decision-making.
Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with financial policies.
Submitting monthly accounting reports to management of the performance and outlook to the board via monthly management accounts.
Control all project spending with the Project Director.
Stock Movements & Stock Analysis.
Review and maintain the balance sheets and general ledger.
Establishing the standard costs of products.
Updating the standard costs of products and services based on the associated expenses Analysing organisational data and assessing rates of labour, depreciation and overhead to recommend policy amendments that will improve numbers.
Recommending changes to policies and procedures to improve the company's cash flow.
Lead and mentor the transition of the booking keeper's role to purchase to pay specialist.
Develop commercial analysts' capability to utilise quick books and maximise its integration with the DEM (MRP) system to manage stocks and identify cost-efficiency initiatives and operational improvements within the processing operations.
The candidate: Qualified Accountant with at least 3 years PQE.
Experience in manufacturing & cost management is a MUST.
Senior financial leadership experience, is preferable.
Expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Familiarity with ERP systems, financial software, and technology-driven financial processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
