Our client, a Semi State Organisation based in Wicklow, is currently looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their team.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role will involve:
Monthly Management Accounts
* Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, variance analysis and key metrics reporting for the senior management team.
* Preparation of month end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Calculation and monitoring of accruals & prepaid expenses.
* Preparation of monthly expense reports and monitoring of financial transactions.
* Preparation of audit files for the interim and annual audit, responding promptly to queries raised by auditors.
* Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
* Develop relationships and partner with agreed business areas.
* Support the analysis & investment appraisal of capital projects.
Systems & Processes
* Responsibility for maintaining the Agresso accounting system.
* Actively drive process improvement and simplification in the Finance area, through participation in initiatives & projects.
* Responsibility for maintaining the Fixed Asset Register.
* Preparation of the VAT returns.
People/Team
* Engage effectively with team members to develop a high-performance culture, in line with the Group’s values.
* Provide additional support to the Finance team and Division on other tasks/projects as required.
