Operations Manager Role
J&J Innovative Medicine is currently hiring an Operations Manager, located at the Large Molecule Facility, Barnahely, Ringaskiddy site in Cork, Ireland.
This position will be part of the Operations Team, responsible for managing Business Unit 1 cell culture within the Operations department.
* Leading operational aspects of their team, including workflow, performance, and compliance, while ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.
* Maintaining and managing a team of high-performance individuals to deliver area output and commitment to team development, with a focus on continuous improvement and open communication.
* Providing coaching and feedback to team members to enable them to perform effectively, while adhering to standard operating procedures to support initiatives, project plans, and key milestones.
* SUPPORTING THE SUPERVISION OF DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITIES AND RESOURCES, ADVANCING ANY CONCERNS OR ISSUES TO LEADERS TO IMPROVE SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS RESULTS.
* Delivering process improvements to continually improve program quality, cost, and scheduling, while ensuring continued compliance to regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
* Third-level qualification in science or engineering discipline.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience within a pharmaceutical or GMP regulated Operations environment.
* Experience in supervision/management of people and resources.
Desirable Qualifications
* Operations experience within a Life sciences or biopharmaceutical environment.
* In-depth understanding of Preculture, Cell Culture, Protein Purification, Ultrafiltration, Virus Filtration in an Operations Environment.
* Knowledge of Delta V and PLC systems as they apply within an operating environment.
* Experience of SAP or other business systems.
* 6-Sigma/Kepner-Tregoe or similar problem-solving/decision-making methodology training.
