An exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Chief Medical Scientist to join the Haematology Department at a leading private hospital in Dublin has arisen.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and oversee daily lab operations, ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for accurate and timely diagnostic support.
3. Implement best practices in laboratory procedures and quality control, aiming for continuous improvement.
4. Manage and mentor a team of medical scientists, fostering a learning environment.
5. Engage in strategic planning and department expansion initiatives, aligning laboratory services with hospital goals.
6. Stay updated on technological advances, implementing new techniques or equipment as needed.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
1. CORU Registration is Essential.
2. Master's Degree in Biomedical Science or related field, Haematology specialisation preferred.
3. Minimum 7 years' post-qualification experience in a medical science role, at least 3 years in a senior position in a Haematology lab.
4. Proven expertise in haematological diagnostics, methodologies, and quality management practices.
5. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
