This newly created opportunity for an Operations Manager will be responsible for supporting the sales team's success by focusing on strategies, tools, and data to optimise sales operations.
The role focuses on team leadership, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence with a company operating in multiple trade sectors including engineering, construction and agriculture.
Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and develop the sales operations team to ensure high productivity and a customer-first approach.
Ensure high standards of customer service by optimising response times and order accuracy.
Oversee the resolution of customer enquiries, complaints, and service issues, ensuring a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture business requirements and implement new sales and customer-related processes Implement and maintain operational policies and procedures to streamline workflows.
Monitor day-to-day operational activities, addressing inefficiencies and driving process improvements.
Support the Head of Product Operations in maintaining high standards of product quality and delivery performance.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality regulations in all activities throughout the company.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide reports on operational efficiency and customer service metrics.
Essential Experience Proven experience in Operations with a strong focus on team leadership, customer service and sales Background in managing operational teams in the agriculture, construction, engineering, or industrial goods sector.
Analytical skills to analyse sales data, identify patterns, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions Good working knowledge of budgets and cost control.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in distribution and production environments.
