Job Responsibilities
1. Work closely with Reception and assist with any customer-related requests.
2. Ensure adherence to all departmental S.O.Ps, Hotel Policies, and Procedures.
3. If monitoring the main door at night, verify all Guests show their room card before entering the late bar.
4. Keep corridors clear of trays and debris; collect breakfast cards for room service in the morning.
5. Ensure the bar closes at the designated time and escort Guests to their bedrooms if necessary.
6. Operate floor polisher and possess working knowledge of computers.
7. Provide room service to Guests following Hotel Policies.
8. Serve the late bar to residents.
9. Maintain cleanliness in the lobby and surrounding Guest areas.
10. Ensure back-of-house areas, including the kitchen where night porter prepares food, are clean.
11. Answer calls on Reception where possible.
12. Record any health, safety, or maintenance faults in the designated book at Reception.
13. Remain vigilant and report any suspicious security matters or intruders on the premises.
14. Conduct fire walks during your shift and sign logs; remove blockages as needed.
15. Set up rooms as directed by the Duty Manager or assist other departments with preparations for the following day.
16. Maintain open communication with staff and Guests.
17. Be environmentally friendly and cost-conscious.
18. Perform additional duties as requested by the Night Manager or Duty Manager.
