This is a full-time permanent position based in Limerick city.The Chief Finance Officer will operate at a strategic level, reporting directly to the CEO. Key responsibilities include ensuring the financial soundness of the credit union, overseeing timely and accurate financial management reporting, and developing and executing the Credit Union's Finance Strategy.Key Responsibilities:Ensure the financial soundness of the credit union.Oversee timely and accurate financial management reporting.Develop and execute the Credit Union's Finance Strategy.The ideal candidate will have an established track record of success in a similar role or senior leadership finance position within a credit union or broader financial services sector. A relevant degree (minimum level 8) and professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) are required. Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as appropriate numeracy skills and experience in team performance management and growth.Requirements:Relevant Degree (minimum level 8).Professional Qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).Central Bank Minimum Competency Qualification (QFA) and/or other suitable qualification in financial services, credit unions, management, business, IT, accountancy, law, finance, risk, compliance.Strong understanding of credit union regulations and ethos.Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.This role is subject to Central Bank Fitness & Probity Regime Assessment and is a Pre-Approved Control Function. The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring that relevant Individual Accountability Framework responsibilities are met in line with regulatory requirements.Estimated Salary: €80,000 - €120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
