Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Engineers to develop, troubleshoot, standardize, and improve existing production processes and procedures.
* Assist Engineers in investigating and implementing new production methods.
* Support Engineers in design methods, part sourcing, and documentation.
* Design, specify, manufacture, test, and document production equipment, changes, and improvements.
* Interface with internal personnel and external vendors as necessary.
* Take responsibility for preventative maintenance procedures for assigned processes or areas.
* Communicate concerns about work processes related to environmental impact, health, or safety issues to Managers.
* Set up equipment and facilitate changeovers.
* Calibrate equipment.
* Perform scheduled PMs.
* Change injection moulds as required.
* Implement process improvements.
* Support projects as required.
* Evaluate the environmental impact of all operations in relation to purchasing, waste management, recycling, and energy consumption.
* Conform to the requirements of the quality and environmental management system.
* Undertake ad hoc duties and projects as required.
Requirements:
* A qualified fitter, toolmaker, electrician, or mechatronic qualification is essential.
* Previous experience working in a dynamic cleanroom manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device area, is desirable.
* Experience in changeovers and troubleshooting on injection molding, Multivac packaging, extrusion blow molding, running automated lines, and ultrasonic welding is highly valued.
* Ability to complete maintenance tasks on a range of equipment.
* Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
