Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing, formatting, and proofreading a range of legal documents and correspondence
- Transcribing dictations
- Managing client files and ensuring accurate filing (both paper and digital)
- Handling incoming phone calls, emails, and post
- Scheduling meetings, diary management, and organising court dates or appointments
- Communicating professionally with clients, courts, and third parties
- Supporting in document preparation for court hearings or transactions
- Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with all legal and data protection standards
- Assisting with billing, invoicing, and legal aid paperwork where applicable
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a legal secretary or legal administrator
- Excellent typing and MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Familiarity with legal terminology and processes
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
- Experience in conveyancing is an advantage
