Job Summary:
Griffith College, Ireland’s largest private third level College seeks to recruit a motivated, dynamic Deputy Head for their Senior Management Team. Responsibilities of the Deputy Head of Campus include:

5. Campus Representation at Internal & External Meetings and Events
6. Attendance at Boards & Committees
The Deputy Head of campus will assume full responsibility for the campus in the absence of the Head of Campus.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
Academic Management and Quality Assurance
1. Management of Programme Directors, Year Heads & Lecturers
2. Programme Delivery
3. Learner Assessments
4. Learner progression and retention rates
5. Induction quality
Administration
1. Management of academic and financial administration
2. Management of student onboarding – enquiries, applications, admissions, registrations, payments
3. Oversight of graduations
Marketing, Promotion and Sales
1. Marketing strategy / Promotion and sales modes
2. Conversion of enquiries
3. Industry Liaison - Continuous and ongoing contacts with industry to identify opportunities, secure work experience / placements for learners, source guest lecturers and form an industry expertise conduit for the College
4. Liaison with State & Semi-State Bodies to identify opportunities, raise the profile of the College / Limerick campus in the State sector and garner support for new programme development
5. Product Mix – review old offerings / new product development
6. Market research – identify trends and opportunities for the Limerick campus
7. Tendering
8. Skillnets and other funding sources
9. Room rentals
Student Management
1. Student experience enhancement
2. Student services and supports
3. International student accommodation and transport
4. Student Union / class representatives / Global Ambassador liaison
5. Represent the campus at internal & external meetings and events
6. Attendance at Boards & Committees
The Deputy Head of campus will assume full responsibility for the campus in the absence of the Head of Campus.
Minimum Requirements for the Position:
1. A level 9 qualification pertinent to third level higher education and leadership is preferable, and/or extensive relevant industry experience, along with relevant experience in marketing and team management
2. Approximately five years of experience in areas related to third level education, leadership, training and development, business development, or similar posts
3. A thorough knowledge and demonstrated experience of admissions and marketing processes and the ability to facilitate entry into higher education
4. Excellent interpersonal, organisational, verbal and written communication skills, together with the ability to deliver presentations to a high standard
5. Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimum supervision
6. Preferably, possession of a car and a full driving licence, with eligibility to drive in Ireland
