Our client is a well-established contractor with a proven track record in the successful completion of a wide variety of projects.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work both independently and within a team, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate strong leadership qualities.
Working knowledge and understanding of typical contract documents (including plans, specifications, and applicable standards) is essential.
Responsibilities include:
1. Responsible for communications of information amongst the site project team members and interface with the wider team.
2. Establish and maintain procedures with consultants, clients, and subcontractors for information flow, approvals (RFI & Submittals), meetings, and reporting.
3. Prepare a detailed contract items list including all significant items such as major materials and equipment required for the construction of the project.
4. Develop, monitor, and update a submittal register with subcontractors ensuring overall compliance with the construction schedule.
5. Develop, monitor, and update a procurement schedule ensuring overall compliance with the construction schedule.
6. Responsible for the calibration of surveying equipment.
7. Conduct construction document reviews and examine all documents for constructability, coordination, and execution. Bring all concerns to the attention of the design team for resolution using the RFI process.
8. Manage subcontractor’s submittal and RFI submission from development to approval by the design team.
9. Schedule, conduct, attend, and document all job meetings, Client/Design meetings, and coordination meetings.
10. Operate and maintain the company Safety & Quality Management Systems to the highest possible standard achievable.
11. Maintain communication and interface with site teams to ensure works are compliant with the approval requirements of external utility providers.
12. Manage project close-out, including all BCAR compliance documentation, as-built documentation, and relevant information for handover to the statutory Utility Bodies/Design Team/Client for approval.
Requirements:
1. Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar.
2. Familiar with working to Irish Standards for the various external utility providers.
3. Experience in Residential Construction Project Management preferred.
4. Good planning and problem-solving skills.
5. Experience in managing teams (direct and indirect).
6. Competent in Technical Submittals.
7. Competent in AutoCAD.
