Audit Manager Job Description
Operational Delivery of the Audit Plan:
* Manage the operational delivery of the audit plan to provide assurance across all programmes.
* Keep abreast of government scheme/programme rules.
Annual Audit Plan:
* Develop the annual audit plan based on performance delivery agreements (PDAs).
* Operationalise agreed PDA/POW requirements over the full lifecycle.
Risk Audits and Quality Assurance:
* Conduct on-site risk audits.
* Oversee the development of audit/verification checklists, reporting templates, and procedures.
* Review, approve, and final sign off on all audit/verification reports.
Team Leadership and Stakeholder Management:
* Jointly lead and guide the team to achieve high performance.
* Develop and mentor the team.
* Line manage a team of Grade 3 auditors and one Grade 2 administrator.
Policymaking and Regulatory Environment:
* Stay abreast of the evolving regulatory environment, contracts, circulars, etc.
* Liaise with external regulatory authorities as appropriate.
* Identify changes in the regulatory landscape that may impact the CAR directorate.
Requirements:
* Professional qualification in accounting, audit, or other relevant discipline.
* Demonstrable management experience in large multi-disciplinary organisations, public bodies, or consultancy.
* Demonstrable line management experience.
* Knowledge of the community/voluntary/public sector and evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
