The purpose of the Associate Director, Capabilities Lead for Clinical Laboratory Sciences is to ensure quality training operations, capability and personnel management and project/business planning are carried out effectively for the functional organization.
This role will support CLS globally providing metrics and project management to support daily operations and transformation projects and initiatives.

Training & OnboardingDesign and coordinate training and onboarding of new hires and work closely with leadership to ensure materials are optimised and remain current to reflect changes in policies and procedures.Collaborate within CLS team to provide role-specific training and resources.Review and identify team training needs and liaise across CLS leadership to develop, update and coordinate delivery.Evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions and make improvements based on participant feedback.Recommend and implement new technologies or methodologies to improve training delivery and effectiveness.Identify existing talent and skills internally to progress key initiatives.Business Planning and OperationsEnsure appropriate, necessary, and effective metrics development, review/analysis, reporting, and issue resolution to drive business and operational changes.Engage in or lead special projects related to process improvement, tool or capability enhancements, transformation efforts or strategic initiatives for the CLS organization.Communicate with business partners on progress of deliverables and risk mitigation strategies developed and implemented.Create opportunities for shared learning and effective change management for training initiatives and process improvements.Create a culture of accountability, excellence, and integrity.Prioritize work, assign resources, track progress of workflow, manage timelines, and shift resources as needed.Organisational EffectivenessEstablish and maintain effective relationships with internal/external business partners and cross-functional management to leverage the team's expertise to support company and functional objectives/initiatives, as well as to provide a channel for effective communication of the team's objectives/deliverables, obtain resources, ensure productive and efficient team interaction.Share best practices and track existing tools to ensure cross functional capabilities are shared consistently.Provide functional influence, leadership, coordination, and management.Manage audit readiness, quality, and compliance along with any associated risk, develop quality initiatives to deliver appropriate business solutions.Strategy Development and ImplementationDrive and oversee implementation of CLS enterprise strategy, monitor performance, and adjust course as needed.Develop synergies across teams and functional areas to successfully implement new strategies and support best practices across geographies and business units.Represent CLS in work stream projects and process improvement initiatives.External OutreachEnsure customer focus through benchmarking and the development of metrics.Develop and maintain key external contacts in industry, technical, and key professional organizations.Network externally to acquire and share knowledge and to strengthen relationships/partnerships.Minimum Qualification Requirements:Bachelor's degree in science/medical/project management field.5+ years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or drug development.Experience developing and/or supervising creation and delivery of strategic projects, metrics, training, sourcing, vendor management.Other Information/Additional Preferences:Experience with operations, change management, training, metrics/reporting, etc.High learning agility with ability to be flexible, adaptable, and to manage multiple, often conflicting, projects and teams and bring to successful resolution in a constantly changing business environment.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy across people, processes, tools, and organizations.Excellent self-management and organizational skills, with the ability to independently manage workload, adjust priorities as needed, and manage working with many different teams with varying styles, issues, and complexity.Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and influence.
