Exciting Career Opportunities for Engineers and Energy Professionals with level 8 academics to work with a State Organisation on Progress Energy and carbon reduction through capital works, energy management teams, and behavioural change programmes on hospital and medical facilities. Excellent progression opportunities that offer stability and development. Dublin North Office or alternatively Co. Meath.
You will support, promote, and actively participate in sustainable energy, decarbonisation, water, and transport initiatives to create a more sustainable, low carbon, and efficient health service.
Expected salary is €55,000 - €65,000 depending on experience. Incremental credit will be given for experience beyond a Level 8 degree or Level 7 with Engineers Ireland membership. Annual salary increments thereafter. Mileage expenses will also be provided. 30 days paid annual leave, plus bank holidays. This is a hybrid model working 35 hours Monday to Friday. Flexibility on location is available as long as you can attend meetings in the Dublin North office. The hybrid ratio is generally 2 days in the office, 2 days on-site, and 1 day from home, with flexibility depending on project demands.

Duties will include:
1. Progress Energy and carbon reduction through energy minor capital works as identified by local Energy Teams.
2. Produce an ongoing Register of Opportunities and provide project development support for a pipeline of retrofit projects as identified by local Energy Teams.
3. Utilise nationally agreed Register of Opportunity benefit assessment tools to identify which projects should be progressed.
4. Manage the specification, design, procurement, and completion of energy minor capital works.
5. Develop Registers of opportunities for Energy and carbon emissions reduction initiatives and works.
6. Provide Water conservation and management advice and support.
7. Support Hospital Sustainable and active transport programmes.
8. Establish and embed energy management best practices into the culture and day-to-day activities of staff and relevant stakeholders.
9. Being an active team member of the Regional Energy Unit, you will work closely in a collaborative manner across all Regional Energy Bureau Sectors.
10. You will provide monthly activity, progress, and works expenditure reports to the Senior Manager. You will also have input to the formation of the Annual Energy Minor works programme utilising nationally agreed Register of Opportunity benefit assessment tools.
