Title: Calibration Engineer

Our client, a market-leading Irish-owned global technical solutions company, has new opportunities for proven Electrical Calibration Engineers/Technicians to join their growing Calibration Business Unit on a full-time, permanent basis.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Head of Laboratory, the Senior Calibration Engineer is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and completing calibrations both on-site at the customer’s location and in our state-of-the-art laboratory in Maynooth, Co. Kildare.
The candidate must have experience in one or more of the following fields:
* Electrical
* Temperature
* Pressure
* Torque
* RF
Role and Responsibilities
* Act as the instrumentation owner with accountability for the calibration program.
* Maintain a working and in-depth knowledge of products, calibration techniques, and procedures.
* Coordinate completion of all calibration to ensure calibration schedules are met.
* Perform scheduled and unscheduled calibration of measuring & test equipment and ensure all activities are completed in accordance with applicable procedures and policies.
* Authorise and revise calibration standard operating procedures.
* Provide support to Operations and Quality when required.
* Provide technical knowledge and support to customers and colleagues.
* Other duties as required.
Skills & Requirements
This is a hands-on role; therefore, a solid understanding of instrumentation, equipment & processes is essential.
Applicants must have:
* Diploma or Degree in a relevant field.
* Strong PC skills (MS Office etc.).
* Minimum of 5 years relevant experience calibrating and maintaining quality systems.
* Desire & ability to work effectively on own initiative under minimal supervision.
* Willingness to work away from home when required.
* Full, clean driving licence.
