We are seeking an AI Project Manager to lead the development and implementation of AI-driven initiatives aimed at supporting our operational efficiency, ensuring good governance and good practices, and enhancing our service offering and optimising food distribution.
As an AI Project Manager at FoodCloud, you will play a critical role in leading the creation and adoption of AI technologies across our organisation.
About the Job The role will work as part of the Organisational Excellence (OrgEx) team to oversee the development, testing, and deployment of AI tools that will enable us to better analyse data, match food donations with charity needs, and optimise supply and demand planning.Ensuring work is prioritised and captured in a single plan.You will support stakeholders to ensure solutions are designed, developed, and delivered on time.Manage the content library of AI solutions at FoodCloud.Your work will directly contribute to making FoodCloud a more efficient and effective organisation, ensuring that no good food goes to waste.Goals: Efficiency: Identifying and automating overly manual processes to enhance productivity, allowing teams to focus on high-value work.Data-Driven Decision Making: Implementing AI solutions that provide actionable insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.Sustainability & Impact: Using AI to improve forecasting, reduce food waste, and optimise resource allocation to maximise our social and environmental impact.Adoption & Integration: AI solutions are only as valuable as their adoption.
This role will ensure AI-driven process changes are embedded effectively, driving a structured and data-led approach to implementation.Key Duties: Oversee AI Systems: Manage the lifecycle of AI solutions, from conception and development to deployment and optimisation.Drive AI Adoption: Work closely with teams to ensure AI tools are effectively utilised, designing and delivering training, ensuring necessary documentation is in place and addressing any barriers to adoption.Monitor & Maintain AI Implementations: Emphasise post-implementation monitoring to ensure AI solutions remain effective and aligned with business needs.Identify Automation Opportunities: Collaborate with teams to pinpoint inefficient processes that can be streamlined through AI-driven automation.Ensure Ethical & Responsible AI Use: Maintain compliance with best practices in AI ethics, data privacy, and security.Measure Impact & Continuous Improvement: Track performance metrics and iterate on AI solutions to maximise their effectiveness and return on investment.Qualifications and Skills: Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
A Master's degree or relevant certifications in AI, Machine Learning, or Project Management is a plus.Experience: Proven experience (3+ years) in AI project management, including leading AI development projects from conception to deployment.
Experience working in non-profit organisations or social enterprises is highly desirable.Technical Skills: Strong understanding of AI and machine learning technologies, with hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI solutions.Project Management Skills: Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.The role will be based in our Tallaght Head Office and we can also offer flexible working arrangements, such as working from home, in line with role requirements.
