Role Purpose
Primarily responsible to provide a support service to our Pharmaceutical client as part of a Facilities Maintenance Services team specializing in electrical maintenance. To ensure maintenance and repairs are carried out in compliance with relevant SOPs and GxP requirements. The position will involve start-up, normal operation, monitoring and shutdown of Electrical infrastructure and associated equipment, as well as troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair work of all related facilities systems.
Responsibilities
1. Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance of electrical equipment to optimise performance.
2. Perform maintenance tasks on a CMMS system.
3. Ensure real-time repair of equipment within optimum time frame.
4. Report all faults, damages and electrical or mechanical defaults to the Facilities Supervisor / Team Lead.
5. Troubleshoot electrical equipment and circuitry.
6. Operation and testing of LV distribution infrastructure.
7. Knowledge of High Voltage distribution systems.
8. Perform maintenance on Fire Alarm, Gas Detection, Emergency Lighting, High Voltage, Diesel Generator and UPS Systems.
9. Carry out Portable Appliance Testing, RCD, IR Thermography and Fixed Installation testing.
10. Mark up and maintain accurate electrical drawings.
11. Work with external service providers to ensure a high standard of service is delivered.
12. Work with other Facilities departments on ongoing projects & site deliverables.
13. Comply with all Environmental, Health & Safety policies / procedures associated with the tasks to be performed.
14. Safe Systems of Work including Permitting, Lock Out Tag Out, Fire Alarm isolations and safety documentation review.
15. Knowledge of Arc Flash procedures.
Qualifications
Qualified Electrician to National Craft Standard with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
Working in a 3-cycle shift.
